How We Protect Your Personal Information
Discover My Health safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic,
and administrative procedures using the latest industry security standards. Discover My Health
achieves superior levels of security through three levels of protection: Secure
architecture, Secure authentication and transmission, Secure just-in-time decryption.
The Discover My Health architecture is constructed using the latest state-of-the-art hardware
and software solutions. Our environment is kept secure using a dedicated hardware
firewall, a multi-tier architecture, and the latest anti-virus protection kept up-to-date
through real-time updates.
When you access your Discover My Health, digital certificate authentication is used to ensure
that you are connecting to the appropriate site and that your user name and password
are not compromised. When you view your Discover My Health account on-line, the data is transferred
using the TLS/SSL 128-bit encryption technology to ensure that your personal data
cannot be intercepted during transmission between our server and your personal computer.
Your personal information is always stored in encrypted format, using industry-leading
168-bit Triple DES encryption algorithms. It is decrypted only when you access your
Discover My Health and only prior to secure transmission using TLS/SSL. This implies that
even in the unlikely event that an intruder gains access to our environment, your
personal data is not compromised because it is encrypted.
Discover My Health may employ independent contractors to help manage data services, and such
contractors may have access to data, similar to the access we give our employees.
Also, Discover My Health may store sales account data, including personally identifiable information,
with a third-party application service provider.
